Working Hours: Shifts run from 8:30 am to 5 pm, four days per week with flexibility, including regular weekends. The working pattern will be discussed at the interview stage.
Responsibilities
* Assist in countryside management, improving habitats for wildlife.
* Conduct site inspections, routine practical maintenance, and monitoring of wildlife habitats.
* Support volunteers and deliver activities that strengthen people’s connection with the outdoors.
* Maintain woodland and wetland habitats, ensuring high quality for wildlife.
* Collaborate with partners to manage habitats and complete wildlife surveys.
* Support tenant farmers in maintaining historic landscape standards.
* Participate in training and development opportunities such as plant and wildlife identification and machinery use.
Qualifications
* Practical experience in land, conservation, and access management to level 2 or at least six months vocational experience.
* Willingness to work outdoors in all weathers and deliver tasks when conditions are not ideal.
* Flexible and adaptable working style.
* Ability to work alone or under direction, and as part of a team.
* Positive, approachable attitude.
* Enthusiasm to learn new things and share the enjoyment of work with others.
