My client is a specialist data business who have a fantastic reputation within the Wholesale and Foodservice sectors. They are undergoing an exciting expansion phase and are looking for talented individuals to join them on this journey.
They are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team. The successful Business Development Manager will be responsible for winning new business, maximising sustainable short- and long-term sales and boosting profitability.

Responsibilities Include:
1. Identify and prospect potential new clients.
2. Motivating and supporting trading teams to secure agreements and providing pre-and post-sales support as required.
3. Conduct in-depth market research to understand client needs, pain points, and opportunities for growth.
4. Develop and implement effective strategies to generate new leads and secure business partnerships.
5. Support the provision of training to new users so that they are competent and confident users and system advocates either via face to face sessions or dissemination of the training videos and user-guides with follow-up contact.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
7. Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals to potential clients.
8. Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions that meet the specific needs of clients.
9. Meet and exceed targets.
The Ideal Business Development Manager Candidate:
10. Must have prior sales or category management experience and a proven track record of building new business.
11. Must have strong knowledge of the Wholesale, Foodservice and Convenience Retail sectors, and ideally will have a strong network of contacts within these.
12. Should have experience of selling services rather than products or be able to differentiate between the two.
13. Must be personable with an entrepreneurial mindset.
14. Confident, persuasive, with a ‘can do’ attitude.
15. Must be results focused with good communication and teamwork skills.
16. Must be prepared to travel and work outside of normal hours when required.
