We are looking for a Facilities Supervisor to join our team at Chepstow Community Hospital and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient environment.
This is fixed term until 11th July 2027 to cover the needs of the service.
Responsibilities
* Plan team members work schedules and resource requirements.
* Co‑ordinate the work of the team to ensure team goals are reached.
* Conduct quality audits.
* Assist in the recruitment of staff and performance management, which includes induction and training, PADRs, and initial stages of employee relations policies (e.g., disciplinary, sickness, grievance).
Requirements for the Post Holder
* Completed or working towards an NVQ Level 3 qualification.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Understanding of Health & Safety guidelines and risk assessments.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

* NVQ Level 3 supervisory qualification or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience.
* Food Hygiene & Safety Level 2.
* Basic Health & Safety Certificate.

* Knowledge of COSHH regulations.

* Manual Handling Certificate.

* ECDL IT Qualification.

* Awareness of NHS cleaning techniques as per National Cleaning Standards for NHS Wales.
* Awareness of All Wales Nutrition and Catering Standards for Food and Fluid provision for Hospital Inpatients.

* Relevant experience in the cleaning and catering industry.

* Experience of training staff in routine tasks.

* Previous experience of supervising staff.
