Job Title: Base Manager Reports To: CEO / UK Director Location: Wrexham Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and proactive Base Manager to oversee the daily operations at our Wrexham base. This role is key to ensuring operational excellence, compliance with industry standards, and alignment with our company’s strategic goals. The Base Manager will lead local teams, drive performance, and uphold our high standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) compliance. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee all day-to-day base operations, ensuring service delivery aligns with company objectives and standards. Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001). Lead, mentor, and manage base-level teams; monitor staff performance, support development plans, and identify training needs in coordination with HR/Admin. Ensure full compliance with HSEQ requirements; conduct regular inspections and lead local safety and quality improvements with support from the HSEQ Director. Report monthly on Integrated Management System (IMS) KPIs to support risk management and continuous improvement initiatives. Act as a visible safety leader at the base; coach staff in HSEQ best practices and reinforce a strong safety culture. Lead or support local incident response activities and liaise with regional or central teams as appropriate. Conduct and support both internal and external audits to ensure ongoing compliance and operational integrity. Work collaboratively with operations and sales teams to provide technical and safety input for tenders and client interactions. Visit other company bases as required to promote cross-site learning and support operational reviews. Person Profile Essential: Proven experience in managing operational teams, ideally within the environmental or industrial services sectors. Strong leadership and team development skills. Ability to interpret performance data and drive improvements. Flexible and responsive, with the ability to travel and support incident response when necessary. Desirable: Experience supporting audits and maintaining ISO certifications.
