About the Role
We’re looking for a dedicated and dynamic Learning Support Assistant to join our vibrant school community—someone who is ready to inspire, support, and empower pupils every single day.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in shaping positive learning experiences. Working closely with teachers and pupils, you’ll provide tailored support that helps every child succeed—academically, socially, and emotionally.
What you will be doing
1. Supporting individual pupils and small groups across a broad and engaging curriculum
2. Assisting teachers in planning and delivering personalised learning programmes
3. Encouraging confidence, independence, and self-esteem in every child
4. Promoting positive behaviour and supporting social and emotional development
5. Preparing classroom materials and contributing to a stimulating learning environment
6. Recording and monitoring educational and behavioural progress
7. Supporting pupils during lunchtimes, school activities, and educational visits
8. Working collaboratively with staff to contribute to a supportive and inclusive school culture

Oakfield House School is a specialist primary school for autistic pupils and those with additional learning, communication, or behavioural needs.
