Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is working with a leading manufacturing company producing high-performance, precision-engineered components. We’re recruiting for a Junior Quality Inspector to join their Quality Assurance team.
This is an entry-level Quality Technician role – perfect for someone with some basic experience in quality inspection, product checking, or manufacturing processes, who is keen to develop their skills and progress in the quality assurance field.
Main Duties - Junior Quality Inspector:
* Carry out final inspections of manufactured components before dispatch
* Perform receipt inspections on incoming materials and components
* Produce and issue release certificates and certificates of conformity
* Review and audit work for compliance with quality standards and customer requirements
* Create and maintain paperwork and documentation for full traceability of products
* Use measurement tools and inspection equipment for testing and verification
* Record inspection data accurately using internal systems
* Support the quality control and quality assurance process within a regulated manufacturing environment
Key Skills & Requirements – Junior Quality Inspector:
* Some practical experience in quality inspection or manufacturing quality control (from work, college, or university projects)
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy when recording data
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Eagerness to learn and develop within the quality assurance career path
* Basic computer skills – Microsoft Excel and Word
* Understanding of manufacturing processes and the importance of compliance (advantageous but not essential)
Location: Chesterfield – occasional travel to a nearby site may be required
Hours: Day shifts, Monday to Friday (biweekly rotating early days with 6am starts and mid-days with 9am starts)
Salary & Benefits:
* £25,000 - £27,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
