FP&A Analyst
About this role
We are seeking an experienced FP&A analyst to join our team. The role involves engaging with senior stakeholders, analyzing our portfolio, and enhancing team capabilities by raising technical skills.
The analyst will add value through in-depth analysis of complex business questions, presenting findings to senior finance leaders, including the CFO and FP&A Director. The role includes analyzing credit performance and financial data.
What you'll be doing
1. Synthesizing and simplifying financial and non-financial data.
2. Delivering impactful analysis to inform business decisions.
3. Sharing analytical expertise within the team.
4. Supporting ad hoc requests from leadership.
5. Developing reports to monitor performance against targets and support forecasts and budgets.
6. Streamlining processes through automation and efficiency improvements.
7. Participating in monthly financial reviews, budgeting, and reporting activities.
How you'll be doing it
1. Using systems like OneStream, Workday, GSuite, and Microsoft Office effectively.
2. Leveraging large datasets and integrating multiple sources of data.
3. Exploring new technologies and supporting process improvements.
4. Applying business knowledge to prioritize finance initiatives.
5. Driving automation and data innovation.
6. Focusing on key risks and opportunities.
7. Collaborating across finance teams to achieve business outcomes.
What we're looking for
1. Strong analytical skills, including storytelling, accuracy, and error detection.
2. Technical skills such as familiarity with Python, SQL, or other coding languages is a plus.
3. Knowledge of accounting principles (e.g., P&L, budgets, forecasts).
4. Excellent communication skills, tailored to internal and external audiences.
5. Stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
6. Ability to coordinate complex inputs and synthesize information into a coherent narrative.
7. Mindset geared towards continuous improvement and adaptability to change.
Where and how you'll work
This is a permanent role based in Nottingham with a hybrid working model, primarily on-site Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with flexibility for remote work.
