** Strictly no agencies **Job Purpose:
To carry out day to day maintenance checks and repairs on plant, equipment and the building fabric.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:
1) To carry out repair and maintenance tasks on the College property and equipment.
2) Carry out minor plumbing works (e.g. unblocking sinks, changing taps etc.)
3) Carry out minor Electrical Works (e.g. Changing of Lamps in light fittings, carrying out statutory Emergency Light tests.)
4) Carry out minor building works (e.g. replacing ceiling tiles, basic joinery, decoration and grounds maintenance).
5) To advise and assist service contractors, maintenance contractors and minor works contractors working at the College
6) Collection of data e.g. meter readings, water temperatures, record keeping and area specific admin tasks.
7) To order and maintain adequate levels of consumable items required for their trade for the day to day activities of the college.
8) To assist in the safety of College equipment, machinery and buildings.
9) To observe and abide by all safety rules and regulations taking appropriate consideration of other College staff, Students and visitors.
10) To ensure work is carried out in a safe and professional manner.
