Murray McIntosh is delighted to be working with the Association of Renewable Energy and Clean Technology (REA), a leading trade association in the energy market who are leading the shift to an economy built on renewable energy and clean technologies.
They have an exciting opportunity for an energy or renewables graduate to join their Policy team on a permanent basis as their Policy Analyst of Grid and Networks. This role will be a part of a dynamic, supportive environment where you can tackle issues surrounding the transition to a green grid through policy work, directly aiding the UK towards its target for net zero carbon emission.
Duties will include:
1. Acting as main point of contact for stakeholders on any topics relevant to the Grid and renewable networks.
2. Directly contributing to the REA's work on this subject, contributing to conversations regarding clean technology and renewable energies at large.
3. Designing and developing new policies whilst ensuring current policies are implemented to address sector needs.
4. Keeping stakeholders informed of policy developments through events and newsletters.
5. Overseeing the completion of consultation responses and reports relevant to the sector.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
6. Master's degree in energy, renewables, or a similar, relevant subject.
7. An interest in working in policy.
8. Proven experience of desk-based research skills.
9. Experience and passion for sustainability and climate change.
10. Good understanding of energy issues.
11. Knowledge of technical codes a huge advantage.
This role will be based at their head office in the London but offers a flexible hybrid work scheme of 3 days a week in the office.
