We seek an enthusiastic Community Development Officer to join East Lothian's Connected Communities team in Fa'side. This permanent, part-time role involves face-to-face work from our Tranent office, focusing on connecting and empowering local communities, working with partners to deliver local priorities, and reducing inequalities and poverty impacts.
Candidates successful for interview will be given a scenario and asked to prepare a presentation. Interviews are scheduled for Monday, 19th May 2025, at the George Johnstone Centre, Tranent.
The role involves promoting an inclusive Connected Communities Service, working within a team, engaging with local partners, and fostering community empowerment and preventative work to reduce inequalities.

Job Requirements
Relevant Qualifications: Degree in Community Education or equivalent, or demonstrable experience and skills.
Driving Licence: Desirable but not essential.
PVG Membership: Required, as the role involves work with vulnerable groups. Applicants must be or become PVG Scheme members before a formal offer.
