We're looking for a proactive and highly skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer to support the smooth and efficient running of our hatchery operations. In this key role, you'll ensure all incubators and associated equipment are maintained to the highest standards, minimising downtime and supporting overall hatchery performance.
Shift Rotation:
Week 1 04:30 to 12:30 Mon to Sat
Week 2 08:00 to 16:00 Mon to Fri
Week 3 15:30 to 23:30 Mon to Thursday
Week 4 08:00 to 16:00 Mon to Fri
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the reliable operation of all incubators, hatchers, and ancillary hatchery equipment.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks and respond to breakdowns promptly.
Investigate faults as soon as they are identified and implement timely corrective actions.
Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Support compliance with health, safety, welfare, and biosecurity standards across the hatchery.
Assist with engineering projects, upgrades, and equipment installations when required.

Essential
Recognised Mechanical and/or Electrical qualification, at least one discipline to level 4
Strong organisational skills
Responsible, proactive attitude

Computer literate
Previous hatchery maintenance experience
