Our amazing #TeamSBCSGalashiels in the Borders are looking for a friendly, patient and caring new colleague on a permanent part-time (up to 35 hours per week) basis.
You'll become part of a close knit, dedicated team who supports a young gentleman with complex care needs, in his own home 24 hours per day. He lives an active life and regularly participates in various activities within the community such as swimming where he goes several times a week. As well as enjoying music in both the home setting and in the community, he has a specially adapted bike that he can enjoy trips out and about with the support of staff. Being a confident swimmer is essential for this role as the person we support goings swimming multiple times a week.
However, the successful candidates will undergo training on a detailed and specific support plan devised by a multi disciplinary team.

Shift Patterns
We have various services in the Galashiels area including 24 hour services and community support services. Shifts vary dependent on the service so there is opportunities for experienced staff to work in a 24 hour service or less experienced in service where shifts typically start from around 8am to no later than 8pm most days.
Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
