Salary: £37,500 - £46,215 depending on location and contract. Hours: Full-time, Hybrid, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
About the Role
As a Functional Assessor, you\'ll use your clinical expertise to assess how health conditions impact people\'s daily lives and ability to work. It\'s a role that blends medical knowledge with meaningful human connection, giving you the chance to support individuals while contributing to a fair and compassionate benefits system.
You\'ll carry out assessments both face-to-face and via video or phone, taking detailed medical histories and conducting physical examinations. Your findings will help inform accurate, high-quality reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). You\'ll be trusted to work independently, but you\'ll also be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team that values collaboration and continuous learning. Responsibilities
* Carry out assessments face-to-face and via video or phone.
* Take detailed medical histories and conduct physical examinations.
* Produce high-quality reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
* Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Contribute to a fair and compassionate benefits system.
Qualifications
* A registered Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse or Mental Health Nurse with at least 12 months\' post-registration UK experience.
* Confident in clinical decision-making, with a strong understanding of functional assessment.
* Skilled communicator, able to build trust and ask the right questions.
* Digitally capable, with experience using clinical software and systems.
* Self-motivated and organised, with a focus on quality and integrity.
* Team-oriented, ready to support colleagues and contribute to a positive working culture.
