Exciting new position for an enthusiastic candidate to join our team of engineers. We require someone with a keen eye and skills for good workmanship as we pride ourselves in high standards of work.
Working Hours 7-5 Mon-Thurs - 4 Day Week
Responsibilities will include (but aren't limited to);
* Weld fillet and butt welds in carbon steel Pipe.
* Perform TIG root and hot pass, with MMA (low hydrogen) or TIG fill and cap.
* Weld small bore (<2") and large bore (up to 10") heavy wall pipework Sch 40.
* Support and mentor other team members
* Working from engineering drawings and sketches.
* Mainly Workshop and some site work.
* Quality inspecting of your own work and others.
* Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
* 2+ years' experience of welding and fabrication.
* A good work ethic and good attention to detail.
* The ability to work to tight deadlines and work overtime as required.
* Comfortable and competent working alone as well as part of a team.
Requirements
* Time served pipe welder
* Fully competent in TIG and MMA (Low Hydrogen) with MIG experience
* Experience welding wall thickness from 3mm to 10mm
* Experience with welds subject to NDT and destructive testing
* Proof of relevant coding's (current or expired)

* Overtime paid at 1.5x (Monday–Saturday) and 2x (Sunday)
