I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a UK engineering company, looking for an Electrical Manager in the Manchester Area. The role of the Electrical Manager will be:
Responsibilities
* Responsible for management, supervision and conduct of electrical (planned, corrective and reactive)
* Act as direct line manager to Site Lead who manage technical staff on the contract.
* Ensure that procedure for subcontractor management consistently adhered to
* Assure the safe and timely completion of planned and reactive service delivery tasks and required records, including planned scheduled area shut-downs through to specific corrective and reactive tasks.
* Set and enforce good engineering and working practices within the teams and the relevant sub‑contractors, ensuring correct QHSE standards are being adhered to and maintaining statutory duties.
* Review, analyse and present related reports to assure the timely and accurate completion of services, keeping sites statutory and procedurally compliant.
* Lead investigations and root causal analysis as directed by the account manager.
* Liaise with sub‑contractors and suppliers for quotes, materials and services.
* Identify opportunities for growth and contract sales.
* Liaise with client staff to determine requirements and promote continuous improvement works and project‑related activity.
* Assist the client and associated stakeholders with the review and development of initiatives for future system and operational changes.
* Represent the client at site (and off site) forums as appropriate.
Qualifications & Experience
* Technically qualified to at least HND/HNC or City & Guilds level in relevant mechanical and/or electrical disciplines.
* IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
* Relevant experience working within regulated environments such as GxP etc.
* Demonstrable broad knowledge of building services systems within a relevant manufacturing environment.
* Experienced in coordination and supervision of fault‑finding, diagnostics and rectification activities as part of a planned and reactive maintenance service.
* Experience with computer Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) building management systems (Concept or similar).
* Ability to interface with people including customer staff at all levels.
