Responsibilities

* Responsible for executing, monitoring, and training inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including both front end and pharmacy. Supports pharmacy inventory management activities, including receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns. Champions On-Shelf Availability and is responsible for receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and all in-store inventory processes. Validates and ensures accuracy of planograms.
* Responsible for reviewing and coordinating the proper use of reports and system applications, which impact the accuracy of front end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing.
* Responsible for executing and maintaining front end and pharmacy asset protection techniques, and filing claims for warehouse and vendor overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods including prescription drugs.
* In designated stores, as required, opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start-ups, cash handling, cashier responsibilities, and ensuring the store and stockroom are ready for the business day.


Customer Experience

* Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance. When serving as the leader on duty, resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
* Models and shares customer service best practices with team members to deliver a delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.


Operations

* Executes and coaches team members on inventory management processes, including creating, reviewing, and receiving orders.
* Scans all deliveries, focusing on One Box receiving, and takes appropriate actions to mark deliveries as received or contact vendors for undelivered items.
* Verifies pharmacy shipments and completes postings for all pharmacy and warehouse orders, reporting shortages or damages.
* Completes On-Shelf Availability (OSA) processes, including disposals, call-ins, vendor returns, and scan outs.
* Under supervision, completes pharmacy inventory activities, including recalls, vendor returns, and transfers. Verifies pharmacy claims postings.
* Executes pricing activities, including price changes and markdowns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Supports ordering and maintains inventory accuracy, including overstock and quarantine items.
* Prepares for physical inventory, supports store readiness, and maintains organized, well-merchandised counters and shelves.
* Supports store systems and equipment, and coaches team on delivery activities and the Pickup Program.
* When acting as leader on duty, manages POS transactions, including returns, refunds, and cash handling, while maintaining policies and respectful relationships.
* Performs additional tasks as assigned.


Training & Personal Development

* Attends training sessions, completes e-learning modules, and maintains required certifications and licenses.


Communications

* Serves as a liaison between management and staff, communicates tasks, and reports issues as needed.


Qualifications

* Six months of prior Walgreens experience or one year retail experience.
* Fluent in English (except Puerto Rico).
* Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
* Positive performance reviews and no recent disciplinary actions (internal candidates).
* Attention to detail, multitasking, and operational problem-solving skills.


Preferred Qualifications

* Experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, or customer service associate.
* Previous Walgreens employment preferred.
