Production Supervisor – NIGHTS
Shift: 4/7 FIXED NIGHTS, Thursday – Sunday; 6pm – 6am NIGHT SHIFT; Location: Geary’s Bakeries Ltd – Unit D – Optimus Way – Glenfield – Leicester – LE3 8JR; Rate: £16.97 per hour with a £1 premium per hour for duties between 10pm–4am.
The Role
* Ensure the production team adheres to all processes and controls.
* Adhere to a daily plan and communicate a daily shift report to the wider business.
* Meet business KPIs.
* Drive a strong, non‑compromising health and safety culture.
* Provide support and training to the team.
* Liaise with labour agencies and provide feedback on performance and service levels.
* Effectively communicate with other departments in the wider business.
* Take an active role in audits and high‑profile visits.
* Deputise for the Shift Operations Manager when required.
The role involves moving around a busy bakery and performing both manual and non‑manual tasks, which may be physically demanding at times.
Qualifications
* Excellent communication skills.
* A passion to learn and develop.
* Resilience and tenacity to drive motivation.
* Experience in food manufacturing (an advantage if in a bakery).
* Good understanding of food safety and health and safety requirements.
* Experience leading and supporting a team of people, regardless of size.
* Flexible approach to working hours.

* Experience in manufacturing, especially in a bakery.
* Advanced knowledge of food safety and health and safety.
