Job title: Class 2 Delivery Driver
Overall purpose of this position
To deliver and collect products on behalf of Cotterill Drainage safely and efficiently
The vehicles used will predominantly be:
7.5t Truck & Sprinter and 6mtr + Flat Bed Trailer. (Trailer Experience is Essential)

Main responsibilities
Drive safely and professionally in compliance with UK road traffic laws and O Licence regulations .
Conduct daily vehicle safety checks (lights, tyres, brakes, load security, etc.) and complete associated records.
Ensure load security at all times using appropriate equipment (straps, nets, restraints).
Complete all tachograph requirements, including downloading and handing in records as required.
Maintain compliance with drivers' hours, Working Time Directive, and rest breaks .
Refuel, clean, and maintain vehicles in a roadworthy condition.
Report all vehicle defects, accidents, or near-misses immediately.
Complete delivery paperwork / Proof of Delivery (POD) accurately and obtain customer signatures.
Handball offloading may be required at customer sites.
Provide excellent customer service, representing Cotterill Drainage in a professional manner.
Follow site safety protocols at delivery and collection points.
Support warehouse operations when required (loading, labelling, and preparing products).
To be aware of and follow all company wide policies and procedures set out in our handbook and intranet site
To "raise your hand" and flag up any concerns you have about your role and workload
Other associated tasks
Load and secure products according to delivery notes, including manual handling where required.
Check product quantities and labelling before departure.
Deliver products safely to customers, following correct site procedures.
Provide excellent customer service: assist with offloading, issue delivery notes/brochures, and obtain POD (signature or digital).
Accurately complete and return all tachograph records and delivery paperwork.
Use company-provided sat-nav and hands-free mobile phone for route guidance and communication.
Be safety inducted and follow all company and legal compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements
Valid Class C / C1 (Class 2) Licence (essential)
Valid CPC (Driver Qualification Card) (essential)
Valid Digital Tachograph (Digi Card) (essential)
Full, clean UK Driving Licence (essential)
Trailer Towing Experience (B+E entitlement) - (essential)
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of O Licence obligations, including: Drivers' hours & Working Time Directive compliance, Load security, Vehicle defect reporting, Record keeping
Ability to work flexibly, including early starts and varied duties.
Positive "can do" attitude with excellent customer service skills.
Skills & Experience
Safe and confident driving of Class 2 vehicles and trailers.
Strong load securing skills.
Good geographical knowledge and ability to use satellite navigation systems.
Ability to follow company processes and procedures.
Strong communication and reporting skills
Additional Information
Must be safety inducted and signed off before commencing work.
Must maintain full compliance with company-wide policies and industry regulations.
Flexibility is expected regarding working hours and duties.
Overnight stays may be required depending on delivery routes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
