Description The Service & Team: Team Manager in the Health Visitor Leadership Team. This is a countywide position, the base and team will be determined by success at Interview. The Role: Team Managers, are responsible for the direct line management of the staff and delegation within Public Health Nursing teams. They will coordinate the effectiveness of team performance and service provision. The post holder is accountable for client care; ensuring clients receive the correct level of care according to need. This role requires high levels of professional skill, to lead on early interventions, so children are prepared for attending settings and ready to learn. Leadership and flexibility with the ability to lead a Health Visiting skill mix team. The post holder will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of caseloads in an integrated area, including directly performing daily triage and allocation of work whilst maintaining a wide-ranging clinical component. Lead, manage and supervise their staff within an integrated area. Organise, plan and facilitate supervision for the Children’s Best Start, Community Health & Wellbeing Services in accordance with the supervision policy. Develop the service in accordance with local and national policy and legislation promoting evidence based best practice. Promote child protection/safeguarding ensuring best practice is embedded into the culture and philosophy of Cornwall Council. Work in close partnership with colleagues within the wider Together for Families directorate e.g. Family Help, Early Support, and the Early Years service. Plan and provide supervision, support, training and advice and act as a source of specialist knowledge for Health Visiting Services in matters relating to Child Protection/Safeguarding children and Early Support. Work within a defined integrated area under the direction of the Service Manager. Develop partnership working with statutory and voluntary organisations to aid communication and provide better outcomes for children and families. This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies. This position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check. Working Pattern: This is a hybrid role with the expectation to work from a work base at least two days a week. This is a full time position (37.5) hours a week, we will consider part time hours, the minimum contracted hours ifor a Band 7 role is 30 hours.
