This is a key role within the school, where you will guide a class of Year 2 pupils through a crucial year of their academic and personal development, culminating in their Key Stage 1 assessments (SATs). About You: The Ideal Candidate
We are searching for a skilled primary teacher who can create inspiring and effective learning experiences. You will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification (e.g., PGCE).
*
Proven experience teaching Key Stage 1 (KS1), with specific knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum.
*
A valid Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or the willingness for one).
*
Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning space.
*
Strong communication skills to build rapport with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
*
A genuine commitment to raising attainment and a passion for teaching.
Your Responsibilities as a Year 2 Teacher
Your core duties will involve the full scope of a class teacher role, including:

Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all pupils in your Year 2 class.
*
Effectively teaching all areas of the KS1 National Curriculum, with a focus on phonics, literacy, and numeracy.
*
Preparing pupils for their end:of:key:stage assessments (SATs) in a supportive and low:pressure manner.
*
Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress and development.
*
Working collaboratively with the KS1 team, teaching assistants, and the schools SENCO to ensure consistent and effective support for every child.

Maintaining regular and constructive communication with parents and carers about their childs learning.
