Job Title: Utilities Consultant
Location: Remote (with site/client travel as required)
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 basic
Commission: 10% on monthly consultancy sales over £5,000
OTE: Additional £6,000+ per year
1% commission on SP and AIS projects (paid upon completion)
Benefits: Company Car (Ford Focus or similar, dependent on location/requirement)
About the Role
We are looking for a Utilities Consultant with experience to manage and co-ordinate multi-utility connection projects for our client throughout the UK. This is a fully remote role with occasional travel, focused on consultancy as well as supporting connections for electricity, gas, and water infrastructure, and project delivery across both SME and corporate clients.
As part of a growing team in a thriving sector, you will play a vital role in increasing our client base, overseeing project delivery, and contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and co-ordinate multi-utility infrastructure projects including electricity, gas, and water connections
* Deliver expert consultancy to clients on utility connections and regulatory compliance
* Grow the client base through multiple channels — including direct outreach, competitive tendering, and referrals
* Conduct proactive market research to identify and engage new business opportunities
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, DNOs, ICPs, utility companies, and regulatory bodies
* Conduct feasibility studies, due diligence assessments, and develop technical documentation
* Write and contribute to proposals, bids, and presentations for new consultancy work
* Stay current with industry developments, regulatory updates, and technological innovations
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven ability to generate new business and build a sales pipeline through proactive engagement
* Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets via high-volume outreach and face-to-face/client meetings
* Experience in the utilities sector with a focus on infrastructure and connections is preferrable but not required
* In-depth understanding of UK utility regulations and industry standards
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client engagement and team coordination
