Salary: £40,000 - 80,000 per year Requirements: We are seeking a degree or HND/HNC qualified engineer in an engineering discipline. We require experience in Electronic Warfare. We require previous demonstrable experience supporting hardware and infrastructure in the military sector. We require strong understanding of LAN, WAN, and VLAN architectures, network hardware, firewalls, hypervisors, and Windows/Linux configuration and management. We require knowledge of crypto devices and experience maintaining equipment in live environments. We require understanding of hardware lifecycle management, upgrades, and capacity expansion planning and execution. We require experience supporting low-volume, high-value products and systems in highly regulated environments. We require awareness of ITIL v3 or v4 best practices. We require a full UK driving licence. We require eligibility for DV clearance, including residency in the UK for the last 10 years. Responsibilities: We maintain, patch, update, and audit customer systems and products through preventive and corrective engineering visits. We perform corrective maintenance and repairs to resolve customer issues. We support military exercises, demonstrations, and testing. We assist with customer acceptance testing of new deliveries and products. We deliver operator and maintainer training. We provide 1st and 2nd line support via the service desk for logged customer issues. We participate in a 24/7 on-call rota and may attend customer sites at short notice. We install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, including 2016, 2019, and 2022. We configure and manage firewall platforms, both hardware-based and software-based. We maintain virtualised environments using VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V. We perform root cause analysis using logical and methodical approaches for customer repairs and RMAs. We document corrective actions, summarise required parts, and produce reports and certificates.
