Job Title: Maintenance Electrician M4 Berkshire Corridor
About the Role: We need a skilled Maintenance Electrician to deliver reactive and planned maintenance across commercial and industrial sites along the M4 corridor (Berkshire). This role demands safe, efficient, regulatory-compliant work.
Key Responsibilities
* Independently complete maintenance tasks on time and within budget.
* Diagnose faults, deliver effective solutions.
* Communicate task status clearly to managers and clients.
* Represent the company professionally; uphold client relationships.
* Plan and manage your workload against client and contractual expectations.
* Ensure all work meets safety and current regulations.
Typical Duties Include
* Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
* Fault-finding and troubleshooting.
* Recording work completed and materials used.
* Collaborating with multi-trade site teams.
* Remedial repairs.
* Carrying out EICR testing.
* Completing fire alarm and emergency light tests including maintenance.
* PAT testing.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Minimum 2 years hands-on maintenance electrician experience.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure with excellent time management.
* Solid understanding of electrical systems and health & safety standards.
Qualifications
* 18th Edition wiring regulations.
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations.
* AM2 assessment (or equivalent).
* 2391 Inspection & Testing preferred.
* Full UK driving licence.
