Join our dynamic Digital Industries team as an experienced and qualified Specialist Technician, assisting with IT, Computing, Games and our Immersive space/VR facilities at the Central Campus of Brighton MET!

As the IT Specialist Technician, you will run a segregated network that is separated from Brighton MET college network system and will need to have knowledge in all areas of maintaining and supporting this network including security and maintenance. You will take the lead in maintaining the portfolio of IT support services offered to this department, acting as a liaison with the Brighton MET IT department. To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Specialist knowledge of IT, Networking, and IT service experience.
* Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Windows Server.
* Basic knowledge of networking concepts and configuration.
* An understanding and appreciation for customer service principles
* Communication skills and ability to do demonstrations and practical activities.

In return, you will enjoy opportunities for professional development, a supportive team environment, and the chance to work with state-of-the-art technologies.

We have a fantastic range of staff benefits, highly competitive against what is offered by the private sector and other organisations, including:

* Local Government Pension Scheme - the Group contributes 20.4% of your actual pensionable pay.
* 25 days annual leave, increasing to 28 days in line with continuous service, plus bank holidays and college closure days over the Christmas period which are not deducted from annual leave entitlement and a wellbeing day. Plus, the opportunity to purchase up to 5 days additional leave.
* Discount schemes - including discounts on shopping, restaurants, travel and onsite facilities such as our gym and First Steps Childcare nurseries (specific campuses only).
* Family friendly policies - including enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay (dependant on continuous service).
* Continuous professional development opportunities - including development days, funded apprenticeships and access to a range of other courses and activities.
