We’re seeking a host who understands that our open mic is more than entertainment—it’s a community builder.
The Roses is a theatre where artist development and intergenerational connection are integral to our vision. Your role is to create an atmosphere where a first‑time performer feels as celebrated as a returning favourite, where all ages and abilities feel genuinely welcome, and where each evening plants seeds for future creative growth. We want someone who can help us evolve this into a thriving, inclusive programme that reflects the unique spirit of our venue and community.
As the host, you’ll be the face of the evening to represent the values of The Roses Theatre, treating a welcoming atmosphere for performers and audience members alike.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of the local arts scene and help nurture emerging talent in a supportive, creative and supportive cultural Charity at the heart of Tewkesbury.
The Roses Theatre is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace. We are a Disability Confident Employer and guarantee an interview to any applicant who meets the minimum requirements for the role and has a disability. We actively encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including but not limited to, people from the global majority, those from lower socio‑economic backgrounds, the LGBTQ+ community, and other underrepresented groups.
Please complete this form as part of the application process.
Please submit your CV along with a covering letter outlining your relevant experience and our equality and diversity monitoring form.
Status: Third Tuesday of each month, 6.30pm – 9.30/10pm.
