Our client, a leading company in the civil engineering and infrastructure sector, is currently seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their Sizewell C project. This is an opportunity to contribute to strategic projects while managing essential works for both private and public sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all allocated commercial and contractual matters on the contract.
Effectively oversee and mentor an assistant surveyor.
Ensure successful project delivery by handling financial and legal aspects of contracts.
Prepare and analyse project costings, budgets, and other financial statements.
Negotiate contracts and work with project managers to ensure adherence to cost and time constraints.
Maintain documentation related to projects and commercial activities.
Provide detailed progress reports to the management team.
Job Requirements:
Experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and/or Quantity Surveyor.
Accredited course by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES).
Proficiency in NEC contracts.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Understanding of financial and legal aspects related to construction projects.
