The Role This is an opportunity to join a growing multidisciplinary team in Bristol, working on a diverse range of transport planning projects. You’ll take on responsibility for delivering technical reports, supporting project delivery, and mentoring junior team members, while also playing a key role in developing the regional transport planning offering. Responsibilities Prepare Transport Notes, Statements, Assessments and Travel Plans Apply relevant local and national transport policy and guidance Use software such as Junctions 10, LinSig/Quickgreen, TRICS, TEMPro Use GIS software (e.g. QGIS, ArcGIS, MapInfo, Basemap TRACC) Carry out preliminary highway design using AutoCAD Liaise with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders Assist with project management tasks and oversee technical delivery Support and mentor junior staff Contribute to team growth in the Bristol office Requirements Minimum 5 years’ industry experience Strong understanding of transport planning principles and tools Excellent communication and organisational skills Experience working with private and public sector clients Chartered or working towards chartership (e.g. CIHT, TPS, IHE, TPP, CILT) Benefits Flexible holiday allowance Company pension scheme Hybrid working Interesting and varied projects Autonomy to lead your own work Excellent progression potential
