An opportunity has arisen to join the RESPS team on a 12 month fixed term contract or secondment for maternity leave cover. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated specialist respiratory practitioner with a wide range of skills to provide an expert service for the care and management of patients with chronic respiratory conditions.
Responsibilities
* Provide Pulmonary Rehabilitation, specialist physiotherapy, specialist nursing, oxygen and support with home NIV/neuromuscular diseases with respiratory complications across EHS and H&R CCG.
* Assess and interpret clinical conditions of patients with respiratory conditions, ensuring appropriate care plans.
* Participate in national and local audits.
* Develop clinical, managerial and team working skills within the service.
* Attend regular team meetings, one‑on‑one sessions and engage in ongoing education and development.
Qualifications
* Proven recent experience of working with patients with respiratory conditions; experience in the community setting advantageous.
* Ability to assess and interpret clinical conditions and an awareness of current professional and research practice issues.
* Good understanding of oxygen prescription and use desirable.
* Well‑developed communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Access to a car and driver licence, capable of driving independently across the county.
