What you'll be doing
You'll manage tenancies and neighbourhoods on your patch, being visible in communities and engaging directly with customers.
1. Proactively manage tenancies and take necessary enforcement action
2. Handle all aspects of allocation and letting processes
3. Coordinate mutual exchanges, successions, and tenancy changes
4. Carry out regular neighbourhood audits and develop improvement plans
5. Work closely with Income Management, Safer Communities and Asset Management teams
6. Ensure safeguarding and support concerns are identified, reported and actioned
7. Assist with heating and electrical servicing compliance
8. Conduct health and safety inspections of schemes and blocks
9. Engage with customers to improve their areas and services
10. Liaise with partners, agencies and stakeholders
11. Update housing management systems and partner portals accurately
12. Play an active role in corporate projects
Essential experience and skills
13. Proven housing experience with well-developed knowledge of housing management practice and legislation
14. Computer literate with good working knowledge of Word and Excel
15. Strong customer focused approach both externally and internally
16. Commitment to working as part of a team
17. Motivated, adaptable, determined, and able to work on own initiative
18. Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
19. Resilience for challenging but rewarding social housing work
20. Hold or be working towards Chartered Institute of Housing Professional Qualification or equivalent
