CNC Turner – Alexandria, Scotland. 38 hours per week (Mon-Thu 7:30-17:30) + Overtime; £37,544 (equiv £19.00 per hour).
About the Role
We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join our team in Alexandria. This is a hard role to fill, and we are looking for a highly capable individual who can operate, set, and program CNC turning machines and work confidently on their own initiative.
* Operate, set, and program CNC turning machines using Fanuc control
* Programming carried out at the machine (not offline/CAM-based)
* Work on Doosan CNC lathes
* Use live tooling, including C-axis and Y-axis capability
* Machine precision components to engineering drawings and tight tolerances
* Carry out full tool setting, offset setting, and programme prove-outs
* Perform first-off and in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment
* Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping
* Work independently with minimal supervision
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 10 years' experience as a CNC Turner
* Strong experience with Fanuc-controlled machines (various Fanuc models in use)
* Proven ability to operate, set, and program on the machine
* Confident programming at the machine
* Experience using live tooling with C & Y axis
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
