1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Middleton on the Wolds, Driffield, East Riding of Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP (ideally immediate start)
Contract: Part-Time – Until Friday 17th July
Pay: £92 – £115 per day
GSL Education is seeking a resilient and patient Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil in a welcoming primary school setting. This role is to start as soon as possible and will run until the end of the academic year.
Working Hours:
* Monday, Tuesday & Friday: 8:30am – 12:00pm
* Wednesday & Thursday: 8:30am – 3:30pm
The Role:
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with Autism (ASC).
* Support the pupil’s engagement with learning and daily classroom routines.
* Use a calm, consistent approach to support emotional regulation.
* Work closely with teaching staff and follow guidance from the wider support team.
* Help create a structured and positive learning environment.
The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant Will Have:
* Experience working with SEN, particularly ASC (desirable).
* A patient, resilient, and strong-minded approach.
* The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
* Confidence in supporting pupils who may present with occasional outbursts.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
