Overview
We are looking for outstanding Test Engineers to join DWP Digital to assist in the design of Infrastructure services in collaboration with Architecture and Engineering principles. What you\'ll do
* Demonstrable experience of building and delivering automated tests to provide full coverage of business requirements, using Python and tools such as Pytest, Playwright, or equivalent.
* Design, build and maintain effective tests that validate data quality, movement, and transformation, adopting a shift-left approach, including integration tests into CI/CD pipelines.
* Experience of non-functional testing (e.g., performance testing) using appropriate tools and standards, and knowing where to apply them.
* Influential communicator who can work with other teams and share technical resources, knowledge and lessons learned.
* Practical experience ensuring usability, accessibility, security, stability and capacity are embedded in the development of citizen services.
Requirements
* Strong automation experience in testing and delivering robust, reliable automated tests that cover business requirements.
* Experience in testing across data quality, data movement and data transformation with CI/CD integration.
* Ability to work in agile teams, mentor others, manage testing risks and share insights with stakeholders.
* Commitment to improving services that support diverse user groups, including vulnerable people in society.
Benefits and details
Pay up to £52,347 with employer pension contributions of 28.97% (worth over £12,000 per year). Hybrid working, flexible hours, 26–31 days of annual leave plus up to 3 extra days off per month on flexitime, plus public holidays.
