About The Role
As Room Manager, you will be the driving force behind the success of your room or unit—overseeing the everyday and taking the lead. You will operate an efficient and to-standard room/unit and inspire, model, coach and develop Apprentices and Qualified Early Years Educators to deliver our ambitious curriculum. You will balance the needs of the children, parents, your team and the business to excel in early years excellence. You will also take on a Designated Role within the nursery.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Child-centric: Ensure Cherubs Nurseries age-appropriate routines are embedded and followed every day, giving children access to facilities and extra-curricular activities.
* Oversee the bi-weekly planning cycle for your room/unit, ensuring it meets Cherubs Nurseries standards and reflects the children’s needs, assessments, cohorts and interests.
* Be responsible for the completion of the Nursery App including child profiles, parent communication, record keeping (daily diary, accident logs), observations and tracking.
* Promote high standards of child presentation and personal hygiene, ensuring children are regularly changed, have their faces cleaned and are comfortable.
* Be responsible for the presentation and maintenance of your room/unit, including planning board, displays, storage, cleanliness and furniture.
* Oversee snacks and mealtimes, following Cherubs Nurseries Food Policy and Allergy, Intolerance and Dietary Requirement Policy.
* Work with the Head of Nursery to maintain a robust Key Person System and ensure smooth transitions between Key Persons and rooms, communicating with parents and prioritising the child’s needs.
* Communicate with Purpose: Effectively allocate daily and weekly tasks, lead daily handovers, and be a positive point of contact for parents and families.
* Meet with your Head of Nursery monthly to discuss your room/unit and align on nursery action plans and annual objectives.
* Keep Qualified and Apprentice Early Years Educators updated with nursery or business changes and direct them to the right person for answers.
* Play to Win: Undertake a Designated Role within the nursery, support planning of nursery events, take responsibility for room checks, forms and assessments, and understand Cherubs Nurseries policies and procedures.
* Seek out Solutions: Address parent feedback appropriately, ensure First Aid and medication administration is compliant, support children with additional needs (SEND or EAL) and manage Settling In for new children using positive techniques.
* Look out for each other: Onboard and upskill new Educators, provide ongoing feedback, and prepare the team for internal and Ofsted inspections to achieve positive outcomes.
