Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our supported living team in Stratford-upon-Avon.
As a Team Leader, you will support individuals with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) and mild learning disabilities. The role may include manual handling, medication administration, personal care, food preparation, household tasks, supporting individuals to keep in contact with family and friends, accessing the community, and attending appointments. We provide support for daily living skills and help with socialisation, offering specialised person-centred support. Radis recognises each person as an individual and provides a tailored service that meets their specific needs, maintaining consistency throughout their lives.
You will support an older lady in her own home; she has a mobility car, so being a preferred driver is advantageous. You will also need to attend the registered office once a week in Coventry.
- The individuals we support may occasionally display challenging behaviours, some of which could be physical in nature.
- You will work alongside the Managers of our Supported Living Services, overseeing smooth operations, conducting audits, checks, supervisions, spot checks, updating and reviewing support plans, and ensuring individuals achieve their outcomes.
- The role involves scheduling and allocating work to Support Workers, supporting with medication and personal care tasks, and covering shifts as needed.
- You will participate in the on-call system.
At this present time, we are unable to consider sponsorship for this role.
Skills and qualifications required:
* Previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health issues.
* Experience as a Team Leader/Senior Support Worker is advantageous. The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, working towards Level 3.
* Good written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn in line with clients' needs and expectations.
* Driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Join Radis Community Care, a leading provider of community-based social care and support for vulnerable adults and children in England and Wales. We care for a range of service users, including the elderly and people with physical and/or learning disabilities.
