You will need to be accurate, numerate, and accustomed to achieving and maintaining deadlines, often working with minimal supervision. This clerical role is based within a warehouse environment, preparing Health Records for outpatient appointments throughout the Trust, which involves lifting boxes containing medical case notes.
Adhering to strict Health Record guidelines is essential, as is compliance with Trust-wide policies and procedures. Confidentiality is paramount due to the high level of patient information stored.
If you are hardworking, committed to high standards, flexible, and a team player, we would like to hear from you.
Medical Records comprises several teams working collaboratively to deliver services, including creating, locating, and retrieving case notes across the Trust. Responsibilities also include dispatching notes for clinics and assessments promptly, tracking and scanning returned notes, and maintaining accurate patient documentation.
The role involves interacting with administrative and clinical staff at PRH and RSCH, using various software programs to trace, prepare, and track records to ensure timely delivery. You may be required to cover areas with staffing shortfalls across the Trust and work in any part of the Medical Records Departments at your assigned site.
