The principal role of the Operational Team Leader is to provide operational supervision and leadership to a team of Ambulance Care Assistants from all areas of the Ambulance Care Service to ensure the continuous provision of a safe and effective Ambulance Care service.
Please note the role will cover South Aneurin Bevan locality.
Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities and duties for role are as follows:
* Lead, support & supervise a team of UCS/Ambulance Care Assistants
* Ensuring operational efficiency and high service standards within the team
* Ensure compliance with quality standards and achievement of key performance indicators
* Act as a Role Model to other operational staff
* Develop your team through PADR and 1:1s and support their personal development
* Ensure patients get the best possible experience
The successful candidate will be operationally and managerially accountable to the Operations Manager and will liaise with other Ambulance Care Managers and Co-ordination Centre colleagues on operational matters as and when required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
* Level 3 Certificate in Ambulance Patient Care - Non-Urgent Care Services or equivalent
* ILM Level 4 or equivalent relevant managerial experience.
* Full UK Driving Licence including B1, (with no more than three endorsement points) and no convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
* Working knowledge of operational software, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Informatics and resource management systems
* Previous Ambulance Care/EMS operational experience
Desirable criteria
* Experience of developing and delivering training.
* Proficient in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* C1 classification on driving licence
