Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Bid Writer based in Loughton. The Bid Writer will be responsible for managing and producing high‑quality written responses for tender submissions, proposals, and presentations in alignment with client requirements. Tasks include conducting thorough research, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to gather necessary information, proofreading and editing content to ensure clarity and accuracy, and maintaining an updated repository of materials to support future bids. The role also involves contributing to improving bid processes and ensuring submissions adhere to deadlines.
Qualifications
* 3+ years experience in a construction environment
* Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling, and professional documentation
* Proficiency in content structuring, research, and developing targeted and engaging bid submissions
* Experience in project and time management to handle multiple deadlines simultaneously
* Knowledge or experience in construction, property development, or working with Local Authorities is an advantage
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams
* Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred
