We are seeking a motivated and organised Theatre Administration Assistant to join our high-functioning and supportive theatre team at Royston Hospital.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced clinical environment where your administrative expertise will directly support theatre services and patient care.
Working closely with clinical teams and the Theatre Services Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping the theatre suite running smoothly, and your ideas for improving systems and processes will be welcomed.
About The role
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Scheduling and documentation to support theatre operations
2. Providing comprehensive administrative support to theatre staff
3. Coordinating communication across theatre services, hospital departments, and external stakeholders
4. Assisting with reporting, data management, and quality assurance activities
5. Supporting continuous improvement of administrative systems and processes
This is a permanent position, with negotiable hours for the right candidate, up to 80 hours per fortnight.

6. Previous administrative experience (healthcare experience an advantage)
7. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
8. High-level competence in Excel, Word, and Outlook
9. Clear, friendly, and professional communication skills
10. A proactive approach, with the confidence to suggest improvements and solutions
11. The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
12. The right to work in New Zealand (essential)
