Employee Relations Advisor
Location: Northampton (Hybrid after training)
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + £50 on-call allowance (once a month after 6 months)

What you’ll be doing:
Providing professional, commercially-minded advice on all Employee Relations matters – from disciplinary and grievance cases to performance and absence management.
Managing a high volume of calls (70–80 per day) while maintaining excellent service and attention to detail.
Supporting and coaching managers to handle ER cases confidently and fairly.
Taking ownership of your own caseload – ensuring cases are resolved efficiently, consistently, and within policy.
Advising on complex ER issues and attending hearings or meetings when required.
Contributing ideas to improve ER processes, policies, and templates.
Supporting HR projects and initiatives that help shape a positive workplace culture.About you:
You’ll bring strong HR experience and the confidence to advise managers on a range of employee relations issues. You’ll love problem-solving, working at pace, and delivering a professional service every time.
You’ll need:
-At least 2 years’ experience in an HR Advisory or ER-focused role
-Solid understanding of UK employment law
-Excellent communication and influencing skills – both written and verbal
-Strong organisation and multitasking abilities
-Calm, professional approach in high-pressure situations
-A passion for delivering exceptional service to colleagues and managers
It would be great if you also have:
CIPD qualification (or working towards it)
Experience in a multi-site organisation
Mediation training or experience
Confidence using Google Workspace and CRM toolsWhat’s in it for you:
