Salary: £18.82 per hour + Enhanced Overtime + £2000 sign on bonus
Hours: 40hrs per week
Role of the HGV Technician
Working with a leading transport operator in the Cardiff area who are looking to strengthen their engineering team with an experienced Shift Mechanic / Fitter. If youre a skilled Engineer with a background in PSV, HGV, this is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term stability, progression, and excellent earning potential.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, thrives in a fast-paced workshop environment, and wants to play a key part in keeping a busy fleet safely on the road.
What youll do as the HGV Technician
* Preventative maintenance, routine servicing and safety inspections
* Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic fault finding
* Using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently
* Attending vehicle defects in the depot and roadside when required
* Supporting apprentices and contributing to a positive workshop culture
* Ensuring all work meets strict safety and compliance standards
What youll need as the HGV Technician
