Downey Osborne is delighted to be partnering with a leading Sales & Marketing organisation in Belfast to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant on an 11-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy finance team, gaining exposure to management reporting, financial analysis and commercial decision-making, with the potential for a permanent opportunity.

About You
* Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience
* Previous experience supporting management accounting and month-end processes
* Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders across the business
* Proactive approach with a desire to improve processes and reporting
* Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced commercial environment
About Your New Role
Always
* Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, journals and balance sheet reconciliations
* Analyse financial performance and investigate variances against budget and forecast
* Support budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting activities
* Prepare financial reports and provide insights to support business decisions
* Work closely with stakeholders across the business to support financial planning and performance
* Contribute to improving financial processes, controls and reporting
Often
* Assist with cashflow reporting and financial planning activities
* Support audit requirements and provide information for external stakeholders
* Contribute to ad hoc financial analysis and business performance reviews
* Assist with the development of reporting tools and KPI dashboards
Occasionally
* Support wider finance projects and system improvement initiatives
* Assist with process documentation and implementation of new reporting procedures
* Provide cover and support across the finance function when required
