Job Summary
The Food & Beverage Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the food and beverage department within our establishment. This role requires a strong leader who can manage a diverse team, ensure exceptional service quality, and maintain high standards of food production. The ideal candidate will have experience in both restaurant and hotel environments, with a passion for culinary excellence and guest satisfaction.
Duties
* Supervise and coordinate all activities of the food and beverage team, including restaurant staff and bartenders.
* Ensure that all food production meets quality standards and adheres to health and safety regulations.
* Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to maximise profitability.
* Assist the General Manager in day to day running of the hotel and deputies in their absence.
* Develop and implement training programmes for staff to enhance their skills in customer service, bartending, and culinary techniques.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to create innovative menus that reflect current trends while meeting guest preferences.
* Monitor guest feedback to continuously improve service delivery and address any concerns promptly.
* Assist in budgeting and forecasting for the food and beverage department to achieve financial targets.
Skills
* Proven experience in a managerial role within the restaurant or hotel industry.
* Strong leadership qualities with excellent team management capabilities.
* In-depth knowledge of food production processes and culinary practices.
* Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure seamless operations.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
