We are seeking a dedicated Bakery Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food production, assisting in the preparation and baking of a variety of baked goods. The Bakery Assistant will work closely with our experienced bakers to ensure high standards of food safety and quality are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients for baking, including measuring, mixing, and organising supplies
* Support the baking process by operating ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment under supervision
* Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards and presentation requirements
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery workspace in accordance with food safety regulations
* Help with packaging and labelling baked products for sale or delivery
* Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure continuous production flow
* Follow health and safety procedures diligently during all food preparation activities
Requirements
* Previous experience in food production, kitchen work, or bakery environments is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
* Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices within a commercial kitchen setting
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
* Good organisational skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
* Flexibility to early mornings
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in a professional bakery setting
