Every school across our large estate has been part of an £800m+ modernisation programme, with the aim of creating an additional support needs and primary and secondary provision in South Lanarkshire that is second to none in meeting the needs and benefits of all our pupils.
About the school:
St John the Baptist Primary is a denominational school located in Uddingston. Everything that we do is underpinned by our school vision, 'Together We Shine'. We strive to create an environment where our young people learn to be successful, hardworking, excellent, nurtured and included. The children, staff and school community consistently model our values of honesty, trust, faith, friendship and respect.
Our school has 12 classrooms each with an interactive whiteboard, a nursery, two large open areas, a library area, a general purpose room, a large gym hall and separate dining area. Our playground consists of a generous tarmacadam area, a basketball court, a climbing wall, an outdoor classroom, a trim trail and a large astro turf pitch.
Our school is a happy, supportive place where your child will have a broad general education which will support them in developing their values and beliefs and enable them to achieve the highest possible levels of literacy and numeracy and at the same time develop skills for learning, life and work.
The Depute Head Teacher is required to:
* Assist the Head Teacher in the overall management of the school as part of a Management Team.
* Deputise for the Head Teacher in their absence and have responsibility for the leadership, good management and strategic direction of colleagues.
