What's involved with this role: Interim Human Resources Business Partner x 2 Job Ref: N Lincolnshire 5248489 Pay Rate: Up to £23.03 per hour PAYE Hours per week: 37 Monday to Friday, normal working hours Role Length: This opening assignment is for 2-3 months City: Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire The purpose of the role is to supports the Strategic Workforce Lead in business partnering arrangements with both internal and external customers, determining their HR requirements and offering appropriate business focussed solutions and consultancy advice. Key Responsibilities: Develop strong relationships with existing and new customers and an understanding of their business objectives in order to identify their HR, Learning and Development and/or Health and Safety needs. Implement HR solutions and strategies to meet business need, generate change and deliver continuous improvement in line with legal requirements and best practice. Brokers support from the HR Advisory Service, Learning and Development and Health and Safety Teams to deliver business solutions and ensure an effective and efficient customer focussed service to all clients. Influence changes and improvements to HR Services to meet customer demand and contribute to the development of effective management information systems to meet the business needs of customers. Provides advice on a wide range of HR matters including employment legislation, workforce planning, change management, employee relations and performance management. Coache clients to enable them to deliver their HR Strategy and maintain positive employee relations. Undertakes or advises on investigations, recommends action and presents findings at hearings and appeals. Contribute to the council’s job evaluation process, attending panels to evaluate job descriptions across all services and providing advice on related issues to managers. Contribute to the administrative support provided in relation to the Local Government. Pension Scheme and Teachers Pensions, including undertaking provisional redundancy/ill health/early retirement calculations and providing advice and information. Contribute to joint consultative and negotiation meetings, providing professional advice and effecting change. Develop and delivers specialist HR related training & development to colleagues and Customers. Qualifications: CIPD qualified or equivalent knowledge and experience (e.g. NVQ 4 Personnel Management). Skills & Experience: Experience across the range of administrative systems used within an HR function. Excellent communication skills including influencing, inquiring, presenting and mediating. Experience of undertaking formal investigations and presenting cases. Excellent research, analytical and investigation skills. Ability to write reports and letters on complex issues. Detailed knowledge and understanding of HR strategies and solutions and ability to provide related specialist advice to managers. Understanding of the Council’s and other types of remuneration structures. Detailed knowledge and understanding of local government terms and conditions of service. Detailed knowledge and understanding of employment law and recommended good practice. Excellent IT skills and experience working with large database systems.
