Excellent opportunity to train as a dental nurse in a mixed private/NHS dental practice in the East side of Edinburgh. We are looking for a motivated, outgoing individual to join our team, where you will receive training in-surgery and be enrolled on to a dental nursing (SVQ) course at a recognised training provider leading to qualification and registration with the General Dental Council as a Dental Nurse.
You should:
* Have good communication skills
* Be willing to learn and to take instructions and feedback
* Have the drive and commitment to complete the SVQ course, involving written work, practical work and examinations, in the time allowed (approximately 18 months) while working for four days per week in practice
* Be able to work well as part of a team, playing your part with willingness and good humour
* Be able to empathise with patients – a big part of the role is to assist patients as well as the dentist, hygienist/therapist or hygienist
* Have at least two National 5 passes or equivalent
Your working hours will be 4 days/38 hours between Monday and Friday, starting daily at 7.45 am and finishing at 6 pm on Mondays, 6.30 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 5.00 pm on Fridays.
