The values that underpin our company culture are the drivers of our ongoing success: Agile Solution focused Respect for all people Integrity in the way we operate Description The Software Technical Presales Engineer helps us grow our business in the commercial and mid-market space, responsible for working closely with the sales team to help inform, enthuse, and apprise partners, resellers, and end users of our vendor product offerings. As outbound-based role, you will impart your technical knowledge to be a champion for our vendor. Responsibilities include the ability to present our vendor’s messaging to varying numbers and levels of decision makers, including but not limited to CxO, chief architects and IT management. You will be responsible for the creation of content and delivery of demonstrations to support this vendor messaging (in conjunction with Channel Partners). The role also contains an important element of channel enablement to enable partners to be able to (independently) position and resell to their customers. Key Responsibilities Sales Support: Deliver live and online presentations; demos; and POCs; assist with RFPs; support resellers and customers; remove technical barriers; contribute to strategic account plans; and generate leads via events, webinars, and user groups. Technical Expertise: Translate business requirements into technical solutions; manage solution engineering lifecycle; run pilots and proofs of concept; create technical content; and resolve challenges impacting sales. Training & Enablement: Stay current with IT knowledge and certifications; train internal and external stakeholders; and enable partners to position and resell independently. General Duties: Travel as needed; assist with writing of white papers and strategy papers; attend trade shows; maintain CRM records; assist with order management and troubleshooting; and engage actively on social platforms. Skills And Experiences Skills and Competencies Bachelor’s degree (or a combination of education and experience will be considered). Three or more years of pre sales and/or technical presales experience within the Cyber Security industry. Industry based experience in Cyber Security across Cloud, networking, Email, ZTNA, and overall workspace technologies strongly desired. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation and public speaking skills to be able to present to groups and audiences of up to 200 people. Experience in deployment, management and support of cyber security solutions into varying environments from small business to complex enterprise accounts. Ability to drive solutions in complex infrastructures whilst overcoming hurdles with structured problem-solving skills. Influence the direction of the products by engaging with product management to drive compelling changes in the go to market strategies. Desirable: skills and experience in Check Point, Trend Micro and any other Tier 1 Cyber Vendors solutions design and deployments. Demonstrated experience in multi cloud environments and technologies that include but are not limited to native AWS services, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Softlayer, containerization technologies. Professional certifications e.g. Check Point/Trend Micro/AWS/MSFT/ etc are highly desirable. Ability to work independently with limited direction in a fast-paced environment; must be a high-energy, motivated self-starter and be able to learn new technologies quickly. Ability to adapt to changes in roles and responsibilities.
