Job Opportunity: Electrical Technician at Cambus Cooperage
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Time Served Electrical Technician to join our team at Cambus Cooperage, working a 3-shift rotation.
Salary: £49,178.27 (including shift allowance) plus a competitive benefits package including pension, shares scheme, and bonus.
Shift Pattern: 3 x 8-hour shifts (Monday to Friday), with some weekend overtime.
About Cambus:
Cambus is a key site within the Scotch spirit supply chain, handling over 9,000 tanker loads annually, exporting to 35 countries. The site produces rejuvenated casks, performs minor repairs, and operates a traditional cask filling store, a sherry cask processing plant, and manages a large supply of empty casks.
Role Overview:
At Cambus Cooperage, we blend craft and engineering, utilizing robotics to maintain traditional operations in a modern environment. Electrical Technicians are responsible for routine maintenance, ensuring efficient repairs, and problem-solving. Knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems and technical drawing interpretation are essential. Adherence to health and safety policies is crucial. The role involves asset care activities, root cause analysis, and collaboration with operations, CAPEX, and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate in asset care, CAPEX, and shutdown planning meetings.
* Perform maintenance as per scheduled plans and update systems accurately.
* Follow health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Maintain a safe, organized workplace following safety practices.
* Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
* Coach operators on autonomous maintenance and equipment optimization.
* Support capital projects, installation, and commissioning.
* Utilize SAP for reporting and recording maintenance activities.
* Review Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) activities weekly.
* Contribute to site improvement projects and team meetings.
* Proactively address potential issues and support asset care capability building.
Desirable Skills:
* Interrogation and fault-finding in PLC systems.
* Knowledge of machinery safety systems (light curtains, key enter systems).
* Understanding of automation, conveyor systems, and pneumatics.
