Senior3rdLineInfrastructureEngineer(3rdLinewhileyouwillhandledeep-levelescalations,yourprimaryfocusisproactiveinfrastructurehealthandthedeliveryoftechnicalprojects.YouwillworkcloselywiththeTeamLeadtoensureourclients'infrastructureisalignedwithbestpracticesandmodernstandards.
Thisisahands-onrolewhereyouwilldesignandimplementarangeofITchangeprojectsforclientsinyourregion.Youwilldevelopandmaintainrelationshipsthatourclientsputtrustintodeliverthesolutionsthattheirorganisationsneed,whileprovidingexpertise-in-depthtotheServiceTeamwhoescalatefaultstoyouforresolution.
KeyResponsibilitiesoftheSenior3rdLineInfrastructureEngineer:
* InfrastructureProjects:Ownandexecutetechnicalprojectssuchasservermigrations,Microsoft365tenant-to-tenantmigrations,andnetworkrefreshes.
* TechnicalAlignment:Conductregulartechnicalreviewsofclientenvironmentstoidentifyrisks,end-of-lifehardware/software,andsecuritygaps.
* 3rdLineSupport:ActasaseniorescalationpointfortheServiceDesk,resolvingcomplexissuesacrossvirtualization,storage,andcloudplatforms.
* Documentation:Maintainhigh-qualitytechnicaldocumentationand\"SiteFiles\"forclientenvironmentstoensureseamlesssupportacrossthebusiness.
* ClientAdvisory:SupporttheTeamLeadintechnicalmeetingsbyprovidingdata-driveninsightsonsystemperformanceandrequiredupgrades.
Experience&Qualifications:
* Minimum35yearsinatechnicalrole,ideallywithinanMSPoramulti-siteinternalenvironment.
* Provenabilitytofollowaprojectplan,meetmilestones,andcommunicateprogressclearly.
* BasedwithinacommutabledistanceofBedford(forsitevisitsandofficecollaboration).
* Ideallyholdingrecognisablevendorqualifications
* Infrastructure:ExpertknowledgeofWindowsServer(2019onward),ActiveDirectory/GPO,andEntra/Microsoft365/ExchangeOnline.
* Virtualisation:AdvancedexperiencewithVMwarevSphereorMicrosoftHyper-V.
* Cloud:ProvenexperienceinAzureorAWS(migrations,environmentbuilds,andsecurity).
* Networking:Strongunderstandingofwirednetworking,experiencewithfirewalls(Sophos/Fortinet/Cisco),andVPNs.
* WirelessNetworking:Experiencewithplanning,deploymentandsurveyingofwirelessnetworksincommercial,educationand/orhealthcaresettingswithvendorslikeMeraki/Aruba/Ruckus
* Backup&DR:Managementofenterprise-levelbackupsolutions(Veeam,Redstor,etc.).
