Temporary Credit Controller - Aged Debt Focus
Hinckley | Up to £15 per hour | Ongoing Assignment | Office-Based
We're recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a busy head office team in Hinckley on an ongoing temporary basis. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and is confident managing aged debt accounts with a high volume of outbound calls.
The Role:
You'll be responsible for reducing overdue debt across a portfolio of clients by actively chasing aged balances and resolving queries quickly and effectively. You'll need to be comfortable on the phone, with a proactive approach to driving collections through consistent and professional client contact.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively manage and collect from a list of aged and overdue accounts
* Make a high volume of daily outbound calls to clients
* Handle payment and service queries, ensuring accurate notes and follow-up
* Take debit/credit card payments and process adjustments where required
* Escalate unresolved cases and prepare thorough case histories for further action
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth resolution of account issues
What We're Looking For:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a Credit Control or Collections role
* Confident communicator with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
* Resilient under pressure and comfortable working to call and cash targets
* Highly organised, with attention to detail and a "get it done" attitude

* Rate: Up to £15 per hour (depending on experience)
* Type: Ongoing temporary contract
